Welcome to Ursa + Leo, where kids’ clothing is designed to celebrate individuality, creativity, and self-expression—without limits.
As a mom of two young boys, I found myself frustrated by the limited choices in boys’ apparel. Every trip to the store felt the same — loud primary colors and graphics limited to monster trucks, gaming, and sports — reinforcing the same narrow idea of what boys are supposed to like and who they are supposed to be. The “girls’” section offered more variety, but most of it came with frills, bows, and fitted cuts—not-so subtly shaping a different set of expectations.
I wanted something better — clothing that reflected my boys’ full range of interests and color preferences – not just the limited range of interests and colors the big brands offered. When I couldn’t find it, I decided to make it myself.
The joy and enthusiasm with which my boys welcomed my designs inspired me to create Ursa + Leo, a kids’ clothing brand that gives both boys and girls a broader range of options to express themselves through what they wear—without outdated gender norms dictating their choices—pieces that celebrate every child’s individuality, curiosity, and imagination.
At Ursa + Leo, we believe every child deserves clothing that reflects their whole world—the entire spectrum of colors, themes, and positive messaging. Because kids are wonderfully complex —and their clothes should be too. Whether it’s blue, pink or rainbow, every child should have the freedom to wear the colors they love. Whether they love dinosaurs or unicorns, every child should feel free to express what they love through what they wear, not what they’re told to love.
Our mission is to empower kids (and parents) to explore, discover, and embrace who they truly are through playful, gender-neutral apparel. From everyday tees to matching family styles, each design is intentionally conceived and created to support that journey. At Ursa + Leo we design apparel for kids who love Trains and Rainbows, Bugs and Flowers, Dinosaurs and Unicorns, Sharks and Mermaids and everything in between—apparel that’s made for kids, not expectations.
As a mom, I test each piece with my own family in mind — soft fabrics, comfortable fits, and joyful designs that make every day a little brighter—perfect for school days, family adventures, or cozy weekends at home.
